So here is what is usually left aside when giving tips about weight loss after a baby, in three short paragraphs:
1) You are told to avoid FAT FOOD, in order to lose weight. But to lose weight after a baby, this idea is a bad one. Fat food is a must for a new mother! You really need fats in order to give quality food to your baby, and also to feel good yourself. Do not skip any of the fat food meals.
2) You are told to exercise more in order to lose weight. But for the new mother, the most important thing is to have enough energy. You might feel like exercising, and you are good to go, but do not overdo it – to lose weight after a baby, you need just the right amount of exercising. Divide your workout routine in more frequent, but shorter exercises. Five minutes of a very quick dance or exercise every day is what you need – and if you have an active baby, that might even not be necessary. Looking after a newborn might serve as a good exercise for many new mothers.
3) The basic weight loss rules might not be right for new mothers – many diets tell to lower the calorie intake. But if you breastfeed, keep in mind that you need at least 500 calories a day more than you usually would. Many mothers notice they can get as much as 1000 calories more a day during the time they breastfeed.
These simple tips should help you to lose weight after a baby easier.
